I’ve been trying and nothing of value yet. They haven’t even updated the acreage for the paradise fire yet.
If they don’t drop the hammer on these two fires , we will have a major problem and may have serious impact to sequoia national park , these fires are across from one another on the main fork of kaweah river drainage.Upcanyon winds will have a serious effect on these fires .

Bit of info coming on this feed: Sequoia and Sierra Nat'l Forests & Kings Canyon Nat'l Park Live Audio Feed - it has a bit of a hum though.
From a few minutes ago… Paradise Fire judging by landmarks… the update was using 3 copters as the fire backs down towards the Buckeye Campground & the river, everything else remains in a similar footprint to this morning.

Yes copters flying over my house currently, colony fire will have alinement with uphill canyon, while paradise will have to backdown to the next canyon , may go to the main fork of kaweah river , but then it’s all uphill , let’s hope for a stop soon !!

Traffic between AA15 and IC of Paradise at cut of time was that the fire will make it to Paradise Peak tonight. Park will proceed with planned evacuations of…?? They didn’t give details of this.

Evacuation of mineral king area, I just drove up mineral king road a few miles, the glow is pretty impressive, also seeing active fire across the main fork of kaweah river east of Ash peak.

Due to wildfire activity, the Generals Highway is closed from the Sequoia National Park entrance in Three Rivers to just south of the Grant Grove area in Kings Canyon National Park. The Mineral King area is also closed. Kings Canyon National Park is open.

just a question BrushSlasher, being in the park, is retardant not been authorized??? I know visibility may be an issue also???

They have been using retardant on the paradise when tankers are working. I think the colony fire is a little bit different suppression strategy than the paradise since paradise has potential to move towards three rivers.

Actually the colony fire is closer to three rivers than the paradise, both have the potential, hopefully no strong downcanyon winds

IC reports tonight that the fire has spotted across the middle fork of Kaweah River. Now on both sides of the generals highway. Alert the crews in Potwisha Campground that the edge is progressing towards them.

Caltopo this morning shows it expanded west last night and the paradise is going up the 198 hwy , lots of steap country , they might just burn together, and create their own weather pattern, there is a lot of brush on the topo to the bottom of the canyons
