Upgraded to 7.1 it was preceded by about 3 minutes by a 5.0. Felt rolling in Bonita California
KERN RIVER CANYON: State Route 178 CLOSED due to rock slide in the Kern River Canyon. No ETO, Caltrans in route to access damage and determine removal from slide.
multiple fires currently burning, KRN is moving Strike Teams into Ridgecrest and calling back off duty firefighters.

Due to the damage in Trona, as well as Ridgecrest, this will be a thread for all desert areas of the Earthquake response.
