Pretty much no smoke on the cameras now, 912 just made a drop. What made the heavy black smoke earlier?
Initial call came out as a vehicle off the roadway. I do know that turn has a pile of railroad ties and cal trans equipment staged. Never heard the origin over the air. Other than a vehicle or semi trailer those are the most logical items that could throw off that thick of smoke. Hard to hear pick out with the three other large calls coming in during the incident.
Heavy, live fuels? There was a very thick patch of what looked like green sage brush near the heel.

It looks like just a big patch of scrub brush along the creek burned.
