Kern is working a new start, southwest of highway 166, I-5 interchange. Lightning still in the area. Calling this the Lierly fire.

Another new start HWY 178 at the top of walker pass. Vehicle fire into the Vegetation

The fire on walker pass has forward progress stopped. The Lierly fire has roads around 3/4 of it. Also 2 new fires by Taft, one at Hwy 33 and cadet rd, the other at Hwy 119 and Airport Rd.
