Man! Kern resources have been busy the past few days. Seems like the moment they sent a few teams to Riverside, the county decided it would start to catch on fire. The crews and dozers have been going from incident to incident it seems.

Calfire’s S-2’s are type 3 air tankers. CalFire normally orders type 3 multi engine, so to ensure they only get S-2’s

5:54pm The #ParamountFire has a slow rate of spread and is burning between levees. Revised to 75 acres. Resources will be committed for ≈3 hours. Kern County
5:58pm 8/1/2023 #EastFire FIRIS has mapped the fire at 1,291 acres. Kern County

When I retired from there in 2020, policy was if a tanker dropped, you got an arson unit.
