Ops Map for Thursday 1/9 Day (Obviously, they are still getting their feet under them so take with a grain of salt as to accuracy and detail):
Update as of 1730 Today Per 209:
10,600 Acres @ 0% Containment
SFD Structures Destroyed: 972
Three fire responder injuries were reported during this operational
period consisting of two eye injuries and a shoulder injury. All three
were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Weather Concerns:
North to northeast winds will gust up to 30 mph at eye level, with
gusts as strong as 80 mph over the ridges. Gusty winds will
continue tonight and Thursday morning, but will not be quite as
strong, shifting slightly to a more northeasterly direction.
Winds are expected to decrease more significantly Thursday
afternoon.
Humidities are expected to drop to around 10 percent or even into
the single digits today. Overnight humidity recoveries tonight are
expected to be poor, generally increasing to between 15 and 25
percent, but there is a 30% chance they will recover to around 30
percent. Very low humidities down to around 10 percent are likely
again on Thursday.
879 Personnel Assigned.
No critical resource needs.
Anticipated containment date: 1/22
