That area hasn’t burned since the Canyon Fire during the great Fire Siege of October 2007. That fire was infamous for destroying the Presbyterian Church and the Castle Kashan.
The Woolsey fire didn’t burn in this area?

The Woolsey Fire sideswiped that canyon and burned west of Pepperdine U and instead torched Malibu Point.

I was there when the church was lost. Watched it happen from Piuma STR group above. Not fun.

I believe it was at Zuma Beach. Per a friend that checked in there with his water tender.
Unknown if it has relocated. It’s maybe not enough space for the full IMT base camp deployment.
