“They” are misinformed. Not all of us can listen.
Not true. Some of us in N Cal don’t have time to listen right now. I check the posting as available.
Grounding all aircraft due to wind conditions, safety and not being effective at all.
Winds have increased and all rotors were just ordered back to Van Nuys. No air resources on the fire at all now.
appreciating any and all information, keep it coming.
All aircraft grounded and no water…
Now 2 reports of people trapped in homes on PCH…
Please ignore that. I consider it nonsense for those of us who are following here.
I appreciate your contribution.

There is a spam protection that prevents posts within a certain time frame in a row from the same person, but i think we mitigated that with the current engagement.
Back to the fire…
Given the scale, scope and intensity of this fire, also given the significant personnel needs causing LAFD to put public call outs for even volunteer personnel on the news, I’d be very very curious to see a reporting on the total number of strike teams / and a list of all the units and agencies that ultimately will have responded to this and other LA area fires from across the state. I think it’s going to be very significant.
Trying to break off a resource to escort DWP into a pump station!!
Is there a hotline besides the 8962 number?
That’s the number they’re posting publicly, I hope not too many jokers are calling in, but this is LA…
City of Santa Monica is issuing an evac order…“This is a lawful order to leave now” for all areas north of San Vicente. This includes the Riviera Country Club and the Brentwood area
Biden is spending the night in downtown Santa Monica, wonder if he gets moved soon.
XSA is punching T1 OES ST 4801A…should be there by the early AM
I’d be shocked if he wasn’t already. Secret service is incredibly risk adverse and likely is liasoning with sheriff directly.
Given wind direction, there’s a ton more damage this fire can do, but I suspect the footprint will remain under 10k acres. Given SMA is evacuating to San Vincente, they’re def worried. But this is going to be a deceptively damaging fire, not a huge footprint, but extremely high property loss and worse…
