CA-LAC-Palisades ???

Between the 30 there gonna use on the Eaton and the 40 here I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t start moving EMS units from central and northern cal down south.

Just to clarify…this request was for 40 patients…not 40 ALS or BLS units

Both LAC and LAC have plans for MCI’s involving 100’s to 1000’s of patients. They have contracts with the multiple private ambulance companies located in Southern California. LFD has over 100 ambulances staffed by their Firefighters by it self.

I had forgotten I had a link for FIRIS overlays on Google maps. Here is what is showing right now.

That’s a solid setup. With both LAC and LAFD having plans for big MCIs and those contracts with private ambulance companies, it really shows how prepared they are for something this massive. Plus, LAFD having over 100 ambulances staffed by firefighters alone is a huge advantage. It’s good to see they’ve got the resources to handle this kind of situation.

HEQ 1 is reporting the fire has crossed West Ridge and is headed to the Mandeville area to the east. He has 4 Dozers in tow and heading that way for more recon

Anyone have IAP or comms plan?

Gotta remember, LA County is bigger than a bunch of states. They have tremendous resources available. Im surprised they had guys off duty given how the week was going to look, and is,

FYI…for those not in the LA media area for coverage…Fox News (National channel) has non stop live coverage that is really good

They’re way to busy for an iap, they’re still in initial response mode, I’m sure the cal fire team will get that handled soon enough

Sounds like it is coming towards Westridge. How is this possible if the wind goes in the opposite direction?

You’d be surprised

Wind isn’t always consistent, and fire follows the fuel when the wind slows/stops.

Water is stored in tanks and pumped from down below. No power for pumps? If so; no water supply either.

I would say the opposite. Having the first full off duty recall in the last two decades. Their dispatch letting 911 callers there are no available resources to respond to 911 callls. They are broken and the other counties rvc and bdu haven’t sent a single resource.
