If this jumps the 101, weā€™re going to see in real time if 6 year old vegatation in the Calabasas area can go as nuclear as 36 year old brush did when the Woolsey Fire crossed the Dayton Canyon scar with ease. My fear is it can and likely will. This is the nightmare scenario.

Staring at it right now from Cornell rd. Itā€™s lost quite a bit of steam.

Air resources making good headway slowing the active flanks of this fire. Fuels remain light compared to when the Woolsey made its run. Never say it canā€™t or wonā€™t but odds are good fire will remain north of the 101 fwy.

Ventura County engines are engaged on this thing going direct near The bottom of Chessboro supported by aircraft making good progress. It has not crossed the 101 freeway.

The left flank really blowing out now. Still a lot of canyons to give it the oppertunity of hopping the 101, unfortunately.

4 S-2s working the fire (1708 local) Tankers 74, 75, 79, 95ā€¦and now theyā€™re all headed back to Porterville.
