1240pm LNF sent a full wildland response to an LMU incident, Hwy 139 at County Road A2. 38N, 9E S22 puts it here and Google Maps.

AA06, 2 seats and 3 S2’s, C202 and 2nd rotor.

Shaffer cam steered to it, but it’ll be a stretch to see anything yet.

CHP CAD stating Caltrans reporting 2 fires in area.
GOES17 IR has this heat as well.

Also I likely won’t have further posts on this IA period - just making the post to due to the combo of LNF resources, GOES signature and significant aircraft dispatched.

2 separate fires, 30 acres total grass and timber, 0% contained. Structures are threatened. All I know.

Sounds like they have 1 fire handled, 2nd one looks about 30 acres. ROS slowed when it it the top of the ridge

Sheriff in the area coordinating Evac’s. 4 Tankers assigned T-93 T-94 T-01 + T-911.

IC just ordered 5 charlie strike teams, 5 crews, 5 dozers, 6 water tenders, and hose modules.

the 2 fires will probably burn together in the next half hour.

Any relatively close Charlie S/T’s may be hard to find with now 4 active fires in the north part of the state. Going to have some long ETA’s.

For some reason, none of the assigned aircraft are showing up on Flightradar24 while in the area of the fire. Anyone else noticing this?
