Any info on a fire in the Quincy area showing on two cameras Axis-MeadowValley | Shasta & Modoc | Regions | ALERT Wildfire Axis-RadioHill1 | Shasta & Modoc | Regions | ALERT Wildfire
Possibly this? Per Plumas NF FB page
Early this afternoon Plumas National Forest Fire & Aviation Resources responded to a structure fire that spread into vegetation on West Ranch Road, just north of Quincy past the college. The Hill Fire is in the Forest Service protection area. Quincy Fire responded with resources as mutual aid.
The fire is a tenth of an acre with a handline around it and firefighters are continuing to work on full containment and control.
There is increased firefighter traffic in the area. Air resources were just released, including Air Attack and a helicopter, and additional aviation resources were canceled due to the great progress made by firefighters.
If driving in the area, please use caution and watch for fire equipment, especially entering and exiting Hwy 70.
With continued hot, dry weather, fire danger is increasing. Please be careful with anything that can spark a wildfire!
