East of American Canyon, CA (Solano Co) - Varying reports on acreage on this grass fire running up hill from the different agencies: CAL FIRE has aircraft en-route, Solano Co w/ a 2nd alarm. 2475 American Canyon Rd off I-80. AA-140 overhead assuming American AA, reporting 30-40 acres in grass.
IC requested a high dispatch.
2 additional Tankers for a total of 4, fire is wind driven in grass. AA advised good mobile pump territory on the left flank.
IC also ordered 5 additional type 3’s and 2 Dozers.
Burning towards American Canyon from the Fairfield side. If it gets up under powerlines will slow air show down.
Requesting 1 LAT from Santa Maria, also 5 Water Tenders.
150 acres now, hitting Newhall Dr
IC reports fire is now 150+ acres w/ rapid ROS & is heading towards a subdivision. Starting evacuation advisories the area of Newell Dr, Sagebrush Ln & Sorrento Ln in American Canyon. 2 more tankers needed any type.
Stopped now at Newhall lots open line though.
Multiple calls for fire approaching houses @ Cantada Way in American Canyon, unit @ scene reports no structures involved but do have multiple backyards & fences on fire, 3 engines moving in now.
FROS stopped at 500 acres with 30% containment.

Continuing incidents? It started less than 24 hours ago. If anything it would get a thread in the Initial Attack sub, but it appears that it’s been extinguished per the last update.
And it was posted in question and discussion area because of limited info, no initial attack thread was started and it didn’t go to an extended attack fire.
