New start in Lake Co, W/O Lower Lake. Multiple starts in very heavy vegetation midslope w/ slow-moderate ROS, units still trying to gain access. Type 3 engine strike team responding off the #PawneeFire. Location given as behind the DNA Quarry, 8400blk Hwy 29. #DotenFire
Units advising 1/2 acre fire midslope, possibly from burn piles. Holding off on additional strike teams from the Pawnee incident.
Area burned several years ago. Bumped hwy 29 and ran east from there. Guessing couple hundred acres or so. Still light from the scar last time I drove by. Dozers canceled, private equipment from the quarry to assist.
