Additionally there is some concerns down by the dam. There is talk of using walker ridge if things donāt go their way.
worrying about Benmore Canyon road, Donāt want to commit resources down the road, if the fire slops the road, there will be no way for them out.
Also Operations is advising Air Attack that there may be a new start near Clear Lake
Just heard on command, rough acreage is 13,000

From radio, good run east towards Walker Ridge. Expect it to top the ridge within minutes and continue over and start making its way toward Bear Valley.
IC Requesting SO start evacuations of Bear Valley Rd.
@57shasta Isnāt Walker Ridge the county line between Lake and Colusa counties?
yes it is.
Yes it isā¦
Lower Bear Valley is pretty sparse, a few scattered ranches. Valley bottom is flat with very light fuels. Hopefully that is far as it goes at least in that direction.
Calfire Leesville station is on bear valley rd as well
Air Attack to Night ops, saying he doesnāt think it will be to Double Eagle tonight, probably tomorrow. 2 fingers went up and over Walker Ridge. Big island between those two. Expects it to be into Bear Valley tonight. Stated the fire burned through the retardant today. Fire came active about 14:00 hours today, expects the same tomorrow. Estimating it to be 15,000 acres. Canāt see the Bear Valley side due to smoke.
Here is a link to map, including MODIS:
Map is a little behind. Was thinking about Wilbur Springs but now hearing they are are on top of it and sending some engines. Still a ways off though.
