Weather stations at Stewarts Point (north) and Fort Ross (south) along the coast are showing 15 - 20 MPH north winds with gusts in the 25 -30 range

You’re not kidding on the dead and down. Hiked around Salt Point with the dogs numerous times. One of the highest population of ticks I’ve ever come across. I hope they all burn!

Sounds like a spot on the E Side of HWY 1, the objective was to keep it west of Hwy 1, spot is in the area of ocean cove restaurant

Has there been a wind shift at the fire? We are getting some pretty heavy smoke over in Sonoma now.

Zooming in on this view shows that the pool of driftsmoke has begun to curl towards the N-NE. Smoke from the main fire still headed S-SE, for now. :face_with_monocle:

Fine time for the marine layer to call in scared! Dang it!
Looking at the smoke production overnight / currently it looks like things were burning just fine. Albeit not as sporty as the daytime thankfully! Hopefully they got a line around all the spots & main fire overnight?! :face_with_monocle:

As of 0642: Still holding at 143 acres overnight with containment up to 30% this morning, good catch!
