They typically won’t have that posted until approx 2000 tonight… typically…

Weather has been fairly consistent since yesterday. The stronger offshore has knocked a lot of the heat out of the interior, including Div UU and WW, which saw increased fire activity and spread on the 12th.
About an hour ago, the fire was reported at 38,430 acres, an increase of about 135 acres since yesterday, with 34% containment, an increase of about 15%.
This Google Earth image, captured Feb, shows that, while patchy, the chapparal isn’t particularly loaded with timber. The aircraft appears to be an artifact of the image capture.
