Curious to see how many get fills…
T74, T75, T101, T107, T138 so far… looks like T137 out of MCC. T03 out of FAT
Zaca 1 burned behind Figoroa Mt and to the east into the wilderness. This one is burning South coming over the mountain towards Los Olivos. From the looks on the cameras.
Fingers crossed when Sun goes down this goes out, because you know why!!!
Red Flag Warning until 0600 tomorrow morning.
Tankers currently assigned. 03, 74, 75, 79, 101, 103, 107, 137, 138, 167.
From that sat image it looks to be mostly grass with minimal heavier fuels.
I’m watching this spot frequent, medium-range spots out ahead and even on the flanks.
They got 7 of the 10 T1 tankers they requested.
Heavily established flaming front on the opposite side of the canyon to the south of Zaca Road in much more dense fuels and looks to be spotting out ahead of that as well. This probably will not be caught before the red flag conditions take hold. This one’s going places unless something damatic shifts in firecrews favor.
It appeared as though it could’ve been dying out an hour ago but its back in action
Watching this on a 1 hour loop, this fire is spreading dangerously fast. It shows a good example for not being in front ( if that view is the front ) of the fire. WOW !
Is this being ran a FED or State (Contract) incident. That would determine the team.
This should be all LPF and a fed team.
It is all LPF. Sounds like a team order is going in per LPF Chief1.
Something troubling I’ve noticed about this areas fire history is that if the fires aren’t caught in the initial attack phase, the things tend to becomes actual monsters in size. Just goes to show how difficult it is to contain fires in these areas. We could expect this Lake Fire to do the same.
