CA-LPF-Lake?

How often will they fly a fire for intel or mapping? Is there specific trigger or time frames?

I know they’re running a heavy tanker show, but I’m surprised there’s only the Chinook showing. The Keene ship was there earlier. That’s the only helos I’ve seen on FlightRadar.

You may not see the helos on FR because of the terrain.

Not sure on triggers or timeframes. They seem to pop up when you’re wondering the most about a fire though, seem to spread out & time missions well. Intel 24 just departed Chino heading towards this fire.

#LakeFire update per

@LosPadresNF

public affairs: Still 500 acres. No containment numbers. Type 1 incident management team on scene tomorrow morning. Declining overnight temps and winds have fire officials “optimistic.” “A lot of retardant” has been dropped.
