I’m not surprised that area just blew up. Everytime I’ve driven thru the 74 I’ve noticed how the landscape is so dense and packed all over the place, especially as you get closer to the coast. Hopefully this fire gets out quick!

If it makes its way into San Mateo Canyon like it looks as though its already doing, this thing may very well become a long-term extended attack fire. Likely multipule thousands of acres. This whole general area has not burned in forever.
