Due to unstable weather and extreme fire activity on the Caldwell Fire, there is a MANDATORY EVACUATION for Tionesta. Fire on the east is approaching Hwy 139. Firefighters are working aggressively to implement control measures and structure protection is in place where needed.
A buddy of mine on the Gold fire said they are emergency demobing a bunch of equipment right now. I’m assuming to the Caldwell???
Hope they got rain but they are getting pounded by outflow winds right now.

Anyone heard about resource needs?
per MDF social media an hour ago, Lava Beds NP Visitor’s Center is okay. Took the kids last August and they were worried about this fire. It would be wild to see a lot of that area and what gets exposed with little/no brush.
NP Rep stated at briefing that over 90% of the park land has burned
83,025 acres grass and timber, 45% contained. Active fire behavior continued on the Caldwell fire today, per NOPS at 1800.
