Fire Watch 51 (FW-51) assigned from ANF Fox Field.
Bullion cam is showing a lot of active fire
How close to FRA?
Its backing down into the drainage below buffalo gulch, it looks like it hit the ponderosa way fuel break as well.
It looked to be active all night on the cams.
Much of that fire area is in a thermal belt, so night RH recovery may be very low. LCES as the day warms and winds surface causing blowup and high ROS.
We’re u flying AD Air Attack/Fire Watch last night in this fire?
Does anybody know if Edith and Mt Bullion cams are PTZ?
Groveland IHC & Bald Mtn Fly Crew assigned (not sure if H-517) has been assigned.
Many of STF’s crews are committed to the ENF Rx burn.
Ya, I believe most of them are, but just for the operators, not for the public.
Thanks. Do you know if they will typically try to keep them on the active part of a fire or if there is a way to ask for a position adjustment?
I believe the positioning of the cam is dictated by whomever is logged in. The text at the bottom of the selected cam shows the login info. In the example below, it would be mlawler of CalFireMMU. Could be someone in the ECC, or perhaps someone mobile at the CP.
Thanks for your help
Appears (buckhorn cam) to be consuming the east drainage ?
Its capping out from my vantage point at millerton lake.
Showing pretty good on the buckhorn cam
