I’m sure the Mariposa Hams won’t mind if you call it the “Ham Cam.”
Spotting ahead picked up by FIRIS it appeaes
Spotted across Highway 140
Tankers are making last drop it sounds like and returning. No stopping this tonight.
Burning just fine, downhill, with 7mph observed winds, maybe gusts to 10 or 12mph. Hmmm…
Across 140 looks to be some heavy fuel for a few hundred acres…then less serious fuels for a while.
20 Year fuel load
Any resource requests? Handful if strike teams staged on the Thompson fire.
S2 just made a drop at 2030.
And a few more coming in from Columbia.
I’m picking up law traffic on the scanner it’s sounds like it’s right at the edge of town on north side
North of Mariposa on 140, above mid pines; won’t this burn into the 2022 Oak Fire scar, parts of the 2019 Briceburg?
Looks like it has jumped 140 both north and south of Midpines. My comments were about south of Midpines…from the historical map posted, a location that hasn’t burned is 30 or 40 years…at least the area I was looking at.
I clarify, you have reliable information that the fire has spotted over Hwy 140 both North and South of Midpines?
There’s quite a bit of ground to the east before it hits the oak.
I don’t believe it’s near Midpines. It’s right on the outskirts of town. Taken right above the sheriff’s station early on
It’s almost to my street
be safe what street are you on?
