CA-MMU-OAK???

The orders will come as they come…as they get processed and filtered and if they go to the Xbox depends on how soon the Op Area sends it out for fills and then sends the info back…could be soon, could be later tonight, could be tomorrow morning…one way or another the orders will come….

Heart4paso,

Once the IMT is in place, every order goes through the ORDM. SITL doesn’t make orders.

The 209 is prepared and submitted by the SITL in Plans. It’s informational. The actual placing of the orders is done by the Supply Unit/Ordering manager in Logs.

@averageguy It provides access to State monies for emergencies. Then it will go to the feds for more access to funds. Also, to help local companies and those who lost their homes, livelihood, etc. to get federal and state assistance for funding or loans.

High Sierra,
Copy. For ordering then I assume the SITL and ORDM have to coordinate and communicate with one another with regards to status and availability of resources? Yes the 209 is submitted by SITL. Thanks. I’ve asked this before and have gotten differing answers as far as exactly what the roles are between the two positions.
Sorry correction: Not SITL but RESL

How are you able to see pending orders? Is there a web site? Any unfilled water tenders?

Yes RESL to ORDM.
There are meetings that happen where all players involved are there (OPS, PLANS, RESL, LOGS, SITL and then some) and hash it out. For documentation and dashed lines on an org chart,
RESL to ORDM.

The ORDM is part of the Supply Unit under the Logistics Section and process all orders from the incident from Toilets to Dozers. All Sections place their orders through the ORDM, with the exception of Aircraft. The ORDM tracks all orders and places them through the Unified Order Point which on this incident is MMU. Then provides fill information to the respective Section.

heart4paso,

A simple way to remember it: The ORDM gets people and stuff that the incidents wants. The RESL tracks resources that was ordered and has already checked into the incident. Resources can only be put in the plan (IAP) that the RESL’s show as checked in. That’s why the RESL’s always say at the end of the Ops briefings “If you’re not on on the plan, come see me”. The SITL always checks with the RESL to get the latest resource numbers before filing the 209.

I didn’t realize how important my creative writing classes were until I became a Planning Section Chief. Artfully describing the situation is key.
