This morning’s 209 shows 14,281 acres and the same critical resource needs as last night.

Where can I see the 209?

You’ll need to have a FAMIT login. You may need to go through your ECC and know which application you want access to eg. 209, IROC, WIMS etc. Here’s the link

Check the IAP on the daily products link. The 205 is towards the back…

I remembered the days with only one game in town and hoping for an order (9 years retired now  ). For all who are in that position I suggest following all the intel on this fire so if you go, you start off with the maximum amount of situational awareness possible. As the IMT Geek said “respect the potential” and this fire still has lots of that in the days ahead. Even more important is you don’t let this distract you from staying on top of conditions in your IA area and neighboring zones and units. When you go to an established fire like the Oak, the command structure is set up, maps and intel and briefings are provided. IA and extended IA you don’t have that luxury so you are far more dependent on what you know. So know all you can, don’t get distracted by the shiny object and stay safe.

Are the IAPs being posted in a Box folder? Haven’t been able to find today’s IAP.

Also super important to include are the briefing freqs on the 220, those give good intel as they transition AA’s and Helcos

FM Briefing 171.0875
AM Briefing 118.625

And don’t miss that A/G Command added

Air Attack and Helco conversing this morning about having a frequency issue with A/G Command being to close to another frequency and the were going to need to request a new frequency for tomorrow. Because everyone loves getting cloned 2 days in a row! RIP PSCT’s…

The Central Sierra Fire Tactical Feed has been updated with this. My friend said that “I’ve turned off priority scan. LMK if you think it should be reenabled and on what.”

Just a little recent scanner traffic

Not confident they can hold the road into Mariposa Pines

Making its way down Jerseydale Rd near Scott Rd… Uncontrolled line there and spots across the road

Branch 3 needs a Charlie. “Dire need” “gonna get a little western “

Plan is to hold Bear Clover Ln

Trisha, I appreciate your solid reporting, here and at Sierra News, along with everyone else who provides information on this forum. In the backcountry, my only connections with the outside world are the clear-channel AM news stations (KCBS & KNX.). In this case, the information they were reporting was woefully out of date.

I first laid eyes on the fire on Friday at 4:30PM after crossing a ridge. It was blowing up fast. That evening, they were reporting 650 acres, which did not correspond with what I could see from a distance, nor the InciWeb reports that I subsequently read. In the morning, the smoke was thick. Knowing fire behavior, it was time to get out. Thankfully I had a mask, my roads were open, and I got home safe.

It would be helpful and prudent if AM radio news reports were more up-to-date. Some of us in the fire-prone areas are not connected via cellphone or Internet.

White line is yesterday’s noon NIFC perimeter.
Ferguson Fire in blue.

Not much growth on western quarter in past 24 hrs, some spread today NE of Bootjack.

Ty! I imagine the radio stations are relying on the PIO statements which are often delayed for reasons I won’t get into here. I hear your concern and will keep that in mind.
