New start. MMU east of Mt Bullion.

AA bumping dispatch to 6 AT and additional Type 1 copter for total of 3. Fire is running up slope with winds pushing it to the east.

Looks like it’s burning in the 2017 Detweiler (SP) burn scar. Nasty area.

Was retired by then but was on the Telegraph Fire(2008). Right now it’s in good Dozer country but you are correct some nasty country in that area.

From looking at the camera this one done. A lot of mud was slung on this fire. The C-130 is such a Big asset to the fleet. Lucky to have it in Fresno and all the Air Force that flies out of Columbia AAB. All that being said you still need the ground troops building line for perimeter control.
Great Job Folks.

There was a C-130 based at Fresno until 2003 - then a 22 year lapse. I wonder how many acres were lost in the interim. Madera county took the biggest hit.

That the Fresno C-130 was an integral part of stopping today’s fire has to make one question…I think I’m getting off topic here.

I cut and swamped a lot of chemise on the Telegraph, It wasn’t enjoyable the chemise releases some nice irritating fine foliage and dust that gets stuck on the sweaty poison oak flavored arms when your yellow is slightly bloused for air flow and the brush gives it a nice scratching as well.
