Anyone know anything about the fire in the o’neills area, possibly near the San Joaquin experimental range off highway 41? Ive been seeing smoke coming from that area for the last hour.
IDK…maybe some one trying to get the last bit of burning done before we hit 5-1 and restriction go into place in the SRA. That seems to be the trend here in TC U.
I think it may be calfire or that, it’s definitely a good sized burn. The smoke is visible for a long ways.

Anyone happen to know planned acreage or timeframe on this burn?
It was more or less done by 2pm. There’s no information that can i find about it. I’m thinking it was a large pile burn because there’s been some fuels project going in that area, and around the two fire stations there.
It is on the Veter Ranch and they have an agricultural burn permit. They do this every spring. He works the burns with a dozer and was on scene the entire time.
