A little better look as it’s not zoomed in like the other cam
Update: Air Attack is scratchy but it sounded like a 20 acre slopover and he’s going to try to steer it into a road with retardant.
Yup they lost their burn. Still a MROS and trying to get aircraft to slow it down. The same thing happen in this area last year. Guess maybe this time the will learn their lesson.
Winds up to 30 MPH this afternoon in the area. With the low LFM I guess that is all it took. Hopefully it still did some good for them. It doesn’t look to be making a big push.
Agreed. Just goes to show the FM are low for this time of year and even those 1000’s took. A lot of snags as well from cedar fire back in 03. Nice work by all, especially the aviation assets.
Why would you plan a burn when there is a wind event coming. Most of the desert areas are under red flag warnings now.
If I were State Parks I could answer that for you. But since I’m not, and it’s not my burn, I won’t speak for them. This isn’t the proper thread to speak about prescribed burns, nor question another agency’s thought process. Carry on.
