50 acres, MROS, running with the wind and a potential for extended attack
Structure threat on Schoolhouse Canyon Road. Moderate to rapid ROS. Potential for extended attack.
Tanker 72, and Tanker 131 are going to be en-route as additional Tankers.
40-50 acres. Moderate-rapid ROS. Transitioning to heavier fuels. Immediate structure threat off of Schoolhouse Canyon Road.
Smoke is making retardant drops difficult in front of structures.
By far the best view:

Also pyrocumulus over the fire
Up to 6 Tankers, 2 of them are LAT’s.
My assumption based on what I am seeing is that if it gets across School House Canyon Road it could be a major fire.
The fire has slowed a bit as it backs down a hill toward Schoolhouse Canyon. The right flank is all active. Smoke has been an issue for aircraft.
SWAG only but it’s south of Morettis Junction and North of Dudleys Bakery on Santa Ysabel Reservation with state DPA.
I believe you’re about a wingspan north. Schoolhouse Canyon Rd is right where the 3218 BM is at the curve on 79. Fire is south of that if I’ve got it right.
AA is releasing the LAT’s
Thanks Fish, it was a swag only for SA
Fire mapped at 222 acres. Tankers released and Copters still working.
Just left the fire. This was indeed south of Schoolhouse about 3/4 mile. Work truck into the back of a motorhome. Both on the ground now. The spot on the west side of 79 was only 30x30 or so
No details yet but the fire is starting to smoke up again.
