That’s going to put it into much heavier and more continuous fuels. I don’t recall any significant recent fire activity in that particular above Forest Hill Road - though the area below seems to burn regularly. AA radio traffic indicates they’re getting a lot of spotting. Before it crossed the road smoke production was way down - almost looked like they were catching it. Picture’s a bit different now.

Proposed box is Old Auburn-Foresthill Rd. from the confluence to the intersection with Foresthill Rd., then over the ridge and down to Lower Lake Clementine on the access road, then along the drainage.

From IC, 20 - 30 acres on north side of Forest Hill Rd., running to east. Requesting 12 dozers and 12 crews.

They might have to rob some other fires to fill some of that. Crews are at a Premium about now.

I’m hoping they can get ahead of this and blow in a freeway from Stoney House down to the NF before it can get around the bend. Bring on the iron.
