Having control issues it appears…
This one’s getting some aircraft diverts from northern Sac valley incidents
It’s too ba that aircraft assigned came up at 0700. The time out at 1700 is rough for fire control. Hope they get more support from other incidents.
Kind of hard to figure out what is going on but it is getting into the Jones Bar/Newtown area where there are a lot of houses intermixed.
XSA UTF for T1 engine initial Attack ST, sending two T3 engines only.
Could not find the general discussion blog. Heard on the Placer County SO channel that they were looking for off duty sheriffs to go to Nevada County to assist with the evacuation of Grass Valley. Talked to a ham friend of mine who lives on the edge of Grass Valley and he has been told to evacuate.
Here is the latest evac map I have seen… Black circle is Morgan Ranch Subdivision
Losing aircraft to a new start near Lotus
Air Attack still requesting helicopters, but UTF. Have not had any helos working this fire
(1854) Edit: 514 now on scene
Heli 2AH working the heel
Most AC has gone home for the night though.
Much diminished column and evac traffic on SO channel.
Air Tac has 30 minutes until they have to go.
You are correct. NOT 514. My apologies, looked at the N number wrong
A good resource:
