I have been able to find little info on the fire. Little radio traffic. Are they unable to engage because of the suspect in the area?

The fact that this fire can burn in timber thru the peak of the afternoon with no suppression and still just be a couple acres tells you something about conditions. Time to go burning before El Niño lays us all off!

Yes, not much mixing in the blender right now. The air’s as stable as the doldrums, where becalmed seafarers start to think of mutiny.

Per PCSO FB, the perpetrator is now no longer making forward progress, and the fire suppression has begun.
