Once it gets off that flat, it gets into very nasty, steep canyon on 3 sides.
There are spring fed water sources on several of those properties if pumps can get in there fast.

I completed my HEQB task book right in that area, on the American Fire in 2013. That is some nasty country up there. We were spiked out of the Greek Store arch site area. Definitely potential.

American fire was many miles above town Greek store is off Mosquito Ridge but it’s closer to mile marker 22.
Baltimore mine is off of Foresthill Rd across from the high school

Air Attack states no extension at this time. Fully involved structure.

I copied some extension to the vegetation, but not yet a threat to the wildland.
The dead snags surround the fire don’t inspire confidence it will stay that way too long without quick knockdown.

IC states no current wildland threat.

Sounds like they’re picking up the spot in veg.
1500 SqFt. Residential Structure, well involved.

Shifty winds and increasing smoke output.
Looks like the first load of retardant was a good line just uphill.
I’ve had boots on the ground on the neighboring property - if it gets into those junk pile, it’s going to get nasty, with rusty scrap metal and rubbish.

Update:
Good progress on knockdown of the structure fire.
20’x20’ spot in drainage being worked by copters and crews. Stage dozer at FH Rd.

This was a very good friend of mine and they lost everything in the house. Stuff in outbuildings was ok from our conversation about an hour ago. Thank you to all the personnel there to assist them…

Damn, very sorry to hear that! :frowning:

Looks like all of the iron has left.
I’m hoping that’s just dust blowing around on camera now… (Edit: Yep, vehicles coming and going to the clearing)

Final fire size 0.15ac

Update ~20:19: All resources released, will be checked tomorrow.
