CA-NEU-Oak??

Looks like they have 3 rotors back on the fire. The ship from Whitecloud is back in the game and they just got the ship from station 10.

Firehawk C406 just showed up, too.

Is this near where the American Fire was maybe 8-10 years ago?

They just inserted 2 seperate Growlersburg hand crews to anchor, off of Live Oak.

Opposite side of the Foresthill Divide (Edit - was: “canyon”) from the American Fire, but close in proximity.

Just west of the 2001 Ponderosa Fire

AA wanted T 82 to load and return from GV but he had to release him back to Columbia due to low fuel

Quite a ways from the American Fire. This is south of Colfax above Yankee Jims crossing on the North Fork of the American River. This would be close to where the Robbers Fire started.
This would be about 2 miles south of Highway 80.

The column is making it look like they have the upper hand.

Correct, the Robbers (which started a mile from my house) and Ponderosa fires were in the in the immediate vicinity in the same section of N. Fork American canyon; I should have said that the American burned the M. Fork American canyon (including my mining claims) on the other side of the Divide - which is close proximity for those of us up here.

The American Fire was farther up the canyon. The fire that burned in the Middle Fork was the Ralston.

Fire activity appears to be increasing, not much wind showing, but building a column on the cameras after looking good earlier. Not hearing any scanner traffic, anyone have eyes on it on the ground?

Is that where the spot was or a new spot? It doesn’t appear to be in the main burn.

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking – and getting concerned that I’m not hearing any scanner traffic about it.

I believe that’s where the spot fire is. The camera target lines up with it.

If that rolls into the canyon or casts embers, it’s going to get ugly very fast. Are any aerial assets available to map spots before this gets out of hand?

Edit: Finally getting some scanner chatter with units heading to the “new start”
Edit 2: Many, many tones going out now.
Edit 3: Now calling that “Jim’s” Incident? Very confused on the radio chatter.
