Per IC, fire is hanging up on top of ridge.
Both Copters 6WL & 514 have gone OOS Mechanical and returning to respective bases- not good timing.

Looks like T93 out of Chico and T82 out of Columbia are joining the air show.
IC reported a spot, Grandview and Tree Farm lane near the city of Colfax sewer plant.That’ s a good distance from the main fire and definitely a structure threat

I agree with that. It didn’t appear the column on the oak had enough heat to do that. But you never know.

Does seem pretty unlikely the original fire would have spotted that far out. Doesn’t look like there’s much wind on it and not much lift in the column at this point either.
Update on location of the “spot” fire, confirmed to be near Gillis Hill Rd & Black Bear Rd. Just over mile and direction makes more sense to me if it’s a spot fire.

If that’s the case and it spotted a mile or so. Pay Attention Folks it’s August and looks like the fuels are ready and receptive.
