Pike City Rd in Camptonville. This is off Cleveland Ave in downtown Camptonville. Not the road to Pike.
5-10 acres, hard to access, threatening structures at least somewhat. Sounds like they have it slowed down.
The AEU ST may be to backfill the unit because they sent another state ST into Camptonville to relieve the Nevada County LG strike team.
I am hearing this is called the Pike Fire. Reported as multiple starts in heavy fuel, 20 acres.
20 acres was an early guess with limited intel. It was downgraded to 5-10 but that could be increasing. There have not been many requests for resources for an hour or so. I suspect they are going to switch to Fed frequencies once the greens get up to speed.
Yeah been listening from the start, initial 5-10, then later the IC checked in later and said he will keep acreage around 10 acres if not less, good knockdown on fire but not out yet, request strike team to assist so they can release local back to their respected stations.
IC confirmed @23:11 fire contained less than 10 acres. All control lines are around fire, Dozer and Hand-lines. Releasing DZ-2342 and DZ-2346
Per IC: Total of only 2 fires. One fire @ 0.5 acres and the other @ 0.3 acres.
