Started as vehicle fire into the vegetation, At least 1 Tanker being diverted to Portola in LAC.

80 acres, IC ordered 10 type 3 engines immediate need. Closing NB-71 FWY.
IC reporting spotting 300 yards ahead of the fire. Potential for several hundred acres now.

Tanker 78 arriving on scene, tanker 01 coming from Porterville. IC reporting the Fire is 120 acres.

IC hoping to hold the fire at 200 acres, if they don’t it will likely go to 1,000 acres. The heavy fuel and spotting is making things very difficult.
