Whose DPA is it? I question the OVD as I’m guessing it is CCD DPA. The other day the Bend incident did the same. Is it State DPA or Fed DPA? Who holds the checkbook for the fire?
Remember it could be Fed land but State DPA or State land but Fed DPA.
CA-OVD… Owen’s Valley District BLM, federal not state DPA
I have heard of the NOD, CND and CCD, but this is a first for the OVD.
OVD is part of CND, the Bishop Field Office
So who pays for the fire…CND or OVD? Who holds the checkbook?
Also its CDD, California Desert District.
So, for those that have the incident intel, is the order number CA-OVD OR CA-CND?
It’s CCD since bishop is a central california district field office.
Thanks for the clarification.
It’s OVD
From WildCAD
From IROC
It is also listed as ovd for resource ordering and incident numbering because both California and Nevada have districts that go by CCD and they boarder each other.
I’ve been on several fires in this general area and they have been CCD. The southern most fire was the Silver fire on the Marine base. It doesn’t really matter, I just want this page to be accurate as possible.
I was just looking at info for the bend fire and ccicc has it as cnd even though it’s actually on CCD land and not far from desert district.
I just hope they get it out soon. Takes forever for that vegetation to grow back in that country. Those antelope in that area need some vittles to eat.
So not SLU DPA? I didn’t know BLM had DPA west of I-5. I know they have land, like the New Idria area, but I think that is BEU DPA.
I am pretty sure the silver fire was HTF, the whole base is under a special use permit with the HTF (if we are thinking of the same silver fire). BLM goes by state, so as NV-CCD (Carson CIty District) is the Nevada side there, and CA-OVD is the California side (Bishop Field Office). Bishop FIeld Office BLM is in sort of a weird place. It used to be BBD, which is now CND (Cen Cal District BLM). It gets to have its own identifier because of the service first agreement with the INF, if I remember correctly. It is also a bit odd that when you drive from Bakersfield (CND), you have to go through a chunk of CDD (California Desert District) to get to OVD.
Darn it! You caught my aluminum laced CRS brain. The Silver was HTF, 2007ish?
The silver fire at MWTC was 2008, I think. I was on the IA.
