Incident started in the night in what appears to be the Dixie fire scar PNF Engine 330 Mod 3 and Division 3 still hiking into the fire estimating it between 3-5 acres one dozer on order for the morning.
7.1 acres, per FIRIS and WD. Backing downhill in slash, with low intensity.
10 acres at a moderate rate spread air and additional resources on order
PNF Dozer 1 assigned
Air attack over head requesting 2 additional tankers.
For the mods out there with multiple other fires now coming up this morning on the forest and this being grouped into the the Feather complex do I keep these incidents separate from the letter or run them into one thread?
Lots of lightning in the region last night after hot and dry for weeks, it’s going to be a busy day, especially in the air.
Rundown of incidents l:
Letter 10 acres
Highlands half acre potential for 100
Poverty 1 acre potential for 150.
American 2 no size up.
I’ll be updating thread header to feather complex.
Aircraft now over the poverty fires an acre and a half with moderate potential.
Sounds like forward progress stopped on the highland.
I would recommend that once a fire becomes active and is 10 or more acres and requires aircraft then it can have its own thread. What we don’t want is to have 20 new threads for single tree fires or 10x10 ground fire. So… Start the fires here and once a fire stands up and starts drawing resources , then start a separate thread with that specific fire name. There is not a hard rule so use best judgement on if a fire deserves it’s own thread.
So using this logic of all the fires listed above, I would say the Letter fire is worthy of its own thread. The others do not yet, but might later today.
Thank you. I haven’t created a separate thread yet for it as I haven’t heard additional information for it.
Poverty.
American and poverty.
