Tonight the Fly Fire is 4300 acres and 5 percent contained .
John Goss, the operations section chief responsible for the East Zone of the fire and the Fly Fire stated the “right side didn’t do much” — that would be the piece above Quincy. The activity was on the head of the fire that crested Mount Hough. There were some spot fires, but crews worked to protect the communications equipment located there.
