CA-PNF-Kessler

Arcgis has a hit on the north side of Kessler peak, about 5 miles up Beardsley grade from the North Arm of Indian Valley. Can’t find any other info on it. Anyone heard anything? Possibly 2 acres at this time.

They put Jumpers on it with a couple engines and a hand crew yesterday, it’s not doing anything.

I hope the jumpers didn’t actually jump. Should be an easy hike from the road.
I just hope that they are putting it out. It is super dry up there. The majority of draft ponds that normally hold water all year long are dry up there, which can tell everything one needs to know about the fuel conditions. Plus you can set your watch by the afternoon winds, and are usually strong enough to fly a kite.

IC is a Redding smoke jumper. They deployed 6 jumpers.
