CA-PNF-Moonlight RX??

Sounds like PNF Moonlight prescribed fire is getting some bonus acres. NW of Antelope Lake. Copter 101 off Vina earlier and just completed its first fuel cycle, dipping out of Antelope Lake. PNF WildCad has Moonlight RX burn started yesterday in the same spot as Copter 101 activity.

TGU now sending 2 engines to join and form up immediate need strike team.

GOES 17 showing significant heat this afternoon.

WX Pierce RAWS is just north of incident. 52F 15RH NNE 8G19

So 42 acres is not considered an escape? Had to have a CAL FIRE dozer put a line around the “escaped piles”. So why did this require a CAL FIRE response?

From what I can gather one unit burned into another on stoney ridge. Lat and lon puts it the cluster of units 218-19-42 & 248. Not an escape per say but it doesn’t seem to me like it stayed in the planned area.

I’ve utilized Cal Fire resources multiple times as my contingency resources on FS burns. They have put in quite a bit of dozer line for me at times. Looking at that map those are burn units within a much larger planning area. Just some bonus acres.
