One of the additional TACs was VFIRE23 and there was an additional CDF TAC but missed the number earlier.

H301 night 'hawk inbound. Dunno if its sticking around long. These helos disappear off the radar alot, so it can be difficult to tell what their tasking is. The night birds is still sorta new and they don’t take a lot of risk if they don’t have to. Also, radar coverage in general east of the mountains all the way down to San Diego can be sort of iffy. I’m sure most all these aircraft are carrying ADS-B, and are probably visible to the ground receivers, portables, and networked TAK, but not always to public things like FlightAware and ADS-B Exchange.

Unit keeping it, or will a team be assigned?

If a Team is assigned, it would most likely be the Inland Empire regional Type 3 team. They are really well prepared for an assignment of this magnitude

Thank you I was curious with the direction the fire is moving, also what is the fire history in the fire area?

The wind tends to blow out of the east here. Under normal fuel circumstances, the concern would be the fire getting across 79 and onto Palomar Mountain, but it’s probably less of a worry with the heavier fuels and northern slope not as dry as the lighter south slope north of 79

Camp Pendleton is working a wild fire too.

Fire History in that area is 2007 on the West Side of 371 (Roca Fire) and the Sage Fire at 79 and Sage Rd. 2009. the Buck 2010 and Stanley Fires 1996 were far west of the fire area but in the path. The early 80’s might have a few, just going off memory.

Reports that the fire is pushing Sage Rd. I’m guessing the 79 is open to evacuees and animal rescue to Temecula west of the active fire.

CRC Ranch (California Ranch Company) is offering an equine evacuation shelter
