FIRIS maps the fire at 96 acres. Smoke production on the cam is greatly diminished
DC-10 just launched out of San Bernardino, headed that way.
2 LATs requested as two S2s were pulled to a new start.
This thing picked back up a bit, IC reporting 250 acres with MROS and potential updated to 1,000 acres.
Thats what fires in that area do - steep sandy slopes, and light flashy fuel. It will slowly back down a drainage and rip up the other side like nobody’s business. Very few roads and difficult access.
10 additional type 3’s immediate need.
DC 10 load # 3 enroute
Yep. Big rain year means big grass crop and fires in the badlands. Pretty much the same burn scars.
Just drive down Gilman Springs, no smoke visible at all. Just a couple of type 3s, one of the Bautista crew buggies and some BCs off east of Gilman Springs and Alessandro.
