Thats what fires in that area do - steep sandy slopes, and light flashy fuel. It will slowly back down a drainage and rip up the other side like nobody’s business. Very few roads and difficult access.

Just drive down Gilman Springs, no smoke visible at all. Just a couple of type 3s, one of the Bautista crew buggies and some BCs off east of Gilman Springs and Alessandro.
