4 tankers on order
AA 310, Copter 301, Tankers 70 , 71, 72, 73 enroute
Started as vehicle into brush per CHP CAD.
and another tanker requested…
Gunna be tough to fill with the Bobcat requesting so many tankers
Looks like a nice spot to the left that’s starting to run
New fires get the priority for air assets… sorry Bobcat
Snow creek is not LAT or VLAT friendly area, S-2s work great in those drainages with the winds.
Passed by here a million times but never paid close attention - if that spot keeps working east will there be a problem on that side also? Or is there something to stop it?
Past fires have skipped along mid slope all the way into the tramway drainage, and up into the rocks, ugly goat country with wilderness restrictions
Not friendly to anything.

AA

2 - T2 - Helos
4 - Air Tankers (2 Type 3 Multi-engine + 2 Any type)
I’m not so sure anyone should be making specific agency requests at this time based on the current drawdown…
Even with the structure threat on the Bobcat where they want the tankers? I guess if there’s a structure threat on both they could split the air resources or just hammer the new start? Not real savvy with the air resources…
Just passed it, probably at the 5000 foot level of the snow creek drainage. Couldn’t see how far into the next drainage its gone.
How far from the timberline is the fire?
looks like wind pushing it sideways. probably slowing runs up???
Quite a ways
Fires here typically dont go up
They haul butt east or west then get hung up in the most ungodly rock country ever
