Winds on the east side of the fire are blowing from the east back into the main fire. Pretty visible on the live shot and the cams. Might slow down the forward progress temporarily
AA 504 stating 200-300 acres not slowing down.
From CalFire/Riverside County Fire Department Facebook:
#TenajaFIRE Morning Update 09/05/2019 6:20 a.m.: The fire is 1,400 acres and is now 7% contained. Resources remain on scene as they work to fully contain and control the fire. All evacuation orders remain in place.
Looking at the various Cams it looks like the fire is starting to wake up and build a few columns. The weather today should be very similar to yesterday. Watch for those wind shifts. The fire activity is increasing south of Clinton Kieth Rd.
The fire has chewed through the retardant and is beginning to spot. It is that time of day with open line. Many T-Storm cells building again all over So Cal.
The head of the fire on the NE side is now well established with heavy fire behavior.
Multiple spot fires taking off with erratic fire behavior. Units are pulling back in some areas to come up with a game plan. Branch II pulling crews back until additional resources arrive. It sounds like its setting up to be a long afternoon. The last transmission stated that the spots are too far out ahead to catch without air support.
2 type 1 Tankers have been requested. This thing thing is romping around like crazy right now. Radio is getting a bit chaotic. IC also Ordering multiple immediate need type 1 and 3 Strike Teams.
IC just ordered 10 closest type 1 engines immediate need. Multiple type 1 and type 3 strike teams immediate need
Units are defending Murrieta fire station off of Vineyard Pkwy. Fire is right behind it. It also looks like the fire has developed 3 heads. GOES Satellite is showing a large heat signature now.
The fire has a nice ice cap on it.
Inc is on CMD 3, looking for AA
The fire is still spotting a running, it’s making a push at structures. Crews are pulling out due to fire activity.
