From RRU Website: The Fire is burning in the unincorporated County area of Temecula. The first arriving engine company reported one acre with a moderate rate of spread, burning in an orchard. The fire is currently 20-25 acres. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
I am hearing there may be 3 Fires in the area. Tornado is the the only name I have found so far.
2 additional Air Tankers for a total of 4.
Fire has jumped the road. Order for 6 Air Tankers now. I believe the last 2 are coming from Porterville.
AA210 T72,T75,T76,T93 + 2 . The fire is now about 50 acres.
AA advising making good progress with Retardant. The right flank Div X-Ray will be the problem. Perris advised AA that there are no more AT’s available.
AA put 3 of the 6 AT on load and hold at Hemet/Ryan. Fire looking good but a lot of work on the ground in Div X-Ray.
60 acres. 1 AA, 2 AT’s, and 1 Copter over the Fire at 0800 tomorrow.
Per AA holding at 70 acres and about 20% Contained.
Final per RRU: 70 ac / 100% contained as of 6/May
