9/16/2024 VEGETATION FIRE #RosaFire Off Santa Rosa Road, east of San Julian Road, Lompoc, Santa Barbara County. [watchduty]
3:04pm All fixed-wing aircraft cancelled. Fire holds at 20-30 acres w/low fire activity and windy conditions. Firefighters working in 10’-15’ brush. SBC ASU Copt 308 remains on scene w/ground resources (firefighters, engines, bulldozers).
12:22PM The fire is now 20-25 acres with a potential for 30 acres, but it now has a slow rate of spread, per air attack. The fire is located in a rural area adjacent to Hwy 1 and Santa Road Rd. with limited access. Ground resources attempting access from multiple points of entry.
12:10PM Second alarm requested. Incident command reports the fire is 15-20 acres. Aircraft assigned: A6TP, T16, T74, T75, T167, and C964.
12:02PM Two additional tankers, for a total of four, requested to the incident by command.
11:52AM The fire is 10 acres with a moderate rate of spread in light fuels, per air attack. It is hung up on a ridge but has potential for 15-20 acres.
