Hearing traffic of “Canyon” incident. Is that a separate incident?

Video of the Rock Fire. It’s well over 500 acres now, I believe. Seems like winds are going to be kicking hard tomorrow afternoon, but spot forecasts seem to be favorable for the next few hours.

1,000 acres and 15% contained.

Type 3 East Bay Incident Management Team has been activated for this fire.

Team has now been cancelled as it appears this fire is a wrap.

AA out of Fresno and 4 tankers assigned this morning.

What types of fuels is it in and does it have potential today?

Fron Cal Fire SCU: Del Puerto Canyon Road, Patterson (Stanislaus County) at 2242 acres and 50% contained. Del Puerto Canyon Road remains closed. No structure threat. Fire activity has moderated. Acreage change from more accurate mapping of the fire.

Lots of grass. Depending on how far up the canyon it has progressed there could be brush and oak woodlands.

I work to the east and the canyon has been shrouded in smoke all day. Winds are starting to blow down here pretty good now. Temps are low though
