Another fire in SDU at Tecate Rd and Border Rd, I didn’t hear any ROC but some smoke on this cam, sounded like it might be going up Tecate Peak.

Looks like it’s coming out of Tecate Creek, access Marron Valley to the Tecate TT or East Tecate TT off the Border Road

There was a fire out on that mountain face in August 2019. I think they’ll mop this one up pretty quickly.

I remember that, it does look like light fuel loading. Fires come out of Tecate creek fairly regularly.

Whole south side of Tecate Peak is fuel converted to light flashy fuels.

I’m guessing we have a mutual aid agreement with Mexico if the fire is a threat to SRA or FRA? Looked like all of our air resources were in Mexico today.

Yes they do Cal fire can enter Mexico up to one mile if the fire is a threat, same for Mexico they can come up 1 mile if the fire is a threat to them.
Must enter thru a POE.
